well it's over!

Well the holidays are over, another year has passed without you, and I feel myself getting older, my love. Your sister is running me ragged, but she is so adorable while doing it is hard not to laugh. She has learned to cup my face in her little hands and kiss me. Let's all say "awwwww". Love, mama.

after christmas

So we survived it, the Christmas hooo-hah. I rather thought I was doing alright until Dec.24th, then it all just washed over me. How did you do, my son?

what a week!

I hosted a free market where everything was .......wait for it............free! But let me tell you, it was exhausting, so I was glad that the next one was half a year away. The community I work for wants another one right away though so now I am up to my eyeballs in planning a coat drive. Yikes! Also next week I am going to a new type of anti-bullying seminar. I don't think the term anti-bullying is corrct though. Actually I try not to be anti-anything, I prefer to be pro-thinking. As Mother Theresa said, "Do not invite me to an anti-war rally, I will not come. Invite me to a Peace rally and I will come." It was quite a shift in my thinking, I can tell you; having to give up negative thinking and bitching about what I was thinking. I am much better for the effort though and it was well worth it. Love,

p.s. Read any good books lately? I read one called "the Castle" by Franz Kafka. Very dreamlike in the writing- you can't help but feel like it is one of your own, you know, running but never getting anywhere......trying desperately to get someone's attention, etc.

yes i am still alive,joseph. hope you are not upset with me. i have been very busy and even though i know you are a top priority, somehow this blog gets left behind. is it because i am afraid of your response? too timid to make the first move? irregardless of why - i am going to try to give updates more frequently.
so- for thanksgiving it was just your sister ari and i, and to be honest it was a little lean. the holiday season has always been hard for me but i am trying to fake it til i make it. even though i carry you in my heart every day it seems a little heavier during this time when i am lonely for you.

i am currently employed at a wellness center on the hung-a-lel-ti reservation. i really like my job,joseph; i teach a lifeskills cooking class, fiber arts, and advocate for people as a peer mentor. joseph i get paid for doing good deeds and thinking of ideas that promote wellness. as an example: recently i hosted a free market where everything was free!
